Again roaming small roads between villages led to another discovery. This almost straight-standing old building could be easily identified with the help of old maps: it’s a former furniture factory. Every other piece of information beyond that was impossible to find: when was it built, what did it manufacture, which company operated it and when was it closed.
Attached to the porch window were the strangest greetings I have ever found anywhere. They read as follows:
Hi,
This building is nowadays owned by the Novgorod family. Somebody has been stealing here. We! Will find you! The (Russian) boys will find you and slaughter you. If you want your relatives to live, return the cupboards immediately!
I will personally find you myself!

What on earth is this?
The hall of the factory, which was in a very bad shape by now. Some cupboards were indeed stored in the hall. Whether they are the ones stolen or some not yet stolen, remains a mystery.
The floor of the building had collapsed. Some paths between the sections had been built using plywood board, but I didn’t have the confidence to step on them. Besides, the house was heavily tilted.
A bulletin board for factory staff. Most of the dates mentioned are from the late 1970’s, so I guess that the factory use ended around then.
Because the house didn’t seem structurally very sound, and the threats by Dimitri made the atmosphere a little uncomfotable, we explored no more. Before leaving, I managed to snap a picture of this old snowscooter, however.
