Cottage For Sale

Well, well, well, what do we have here. A sign stating that the property is for sale.

The property was just a crumbling cottage with broken windows and open doors.

So I decided to take matters into my own hands and go for a private showing.

The kitchen wasn’t of the latest model.

A wood powered stove, a normal stove and even a microwave oven.

There was a pile of the traditional pills, spray cans and sausage packages on the floor.

Christmas candles on a chair.

The similar mess continued throughout the building.

The roof had started collapsing from the typical place: next to the chimney.

A must in every Finnish home: the coffee maker. It looks a bit like coffee was drank here all the way to the very end, as the cup shows.

A small shelf with all kinds of important items needed in a kitchen.

The other room of the two room cottage. The walls were of a beautiful shade of blue.

The loudspeaker was surprisingly big and modern compared with other stuff in the house. Maybe the inhabitant was an eager music lover.

Rather large old leather chairs and a small, narrow bed.

The ceiling was damaged even in the other room.

Another view of the kitchen.

Heading back out. The coats have waited there for years if not decades.

The auxiliary building. I didn’t want to trek through the jungle, but I know that the sauna and privy are over there.

I didn’t buy the place this time.
