In The Middle Of Nowhere Part VIII

After I had explored the school, it was time to find my way to the teachers’ apartment building.

Or try to find. It wasn’t a very easy task, as the yard had been left to the mercy of mother nature years if not decades ago.

It was actually quite difficult to even get a good picture of the house.

A small trailer to a small bike.

Finally something. A part of the building had one floor, another section two. It seems that there also was a basement.

Back in the days it was common to build apartment buildings for teachers on school yards. This was especially important in remote locations like this, because the lack of proper housing meant often that the schools in smaller villages didn’t get staff.

It was the same story here as with the school: all windows smashed.

My next mission was to make my way back to the other side of the building, where the entrance was.

Or the entrances. The lower wing had its own.

But let’s start with the taller section of the building.

There wasn’t much here. Stairs up, stairs to the basement and one apartment.

The apartment was light and fairly spacious. It featured two rooms and a large kitchen.

And once again, a small, strange corner, as seen to the left.

There were a window, a coat rack and a toilet in the corner.

The toilet had suffered a crushing fate, as usual.

The kitchen wasn’t that old. It looked like it had been renovated in the 1980’s.

The living room. The walls have decayed in a strange way. Or is that just mold?

The bedroom. The floor is lovely.

The bedroom cupboards were very old and just lovely. My current apartment has one like this, too.

Time to go up.

Am I the only one, who thinks that the staircase is pretty steep.
