Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind Part I

At the same housewarming party I also got a tip about an abandoned kindergarten. That was the next location on my list.

This was the address, but I was a bit puzzled by this. It looked more like a cheaply made industrial building from the 1960’s than a kindergarten.

The address was right, though, and the building was definitely abandoned, so I chose to go have a look anyway.

The first doors didn’t lead anywhere apart from storage rooms.

The second one was a bingo.

I had no clue when the place had been abandoned. The door handle looks like it’s been here from the very start.

I don’t think this place has been very cozy even in its prime. It still looks very cheaply made.

Wait a second, do you see what I see?

I’ve seen lots of beer cans in abandoned buildings, that’s nothing new. But never have I ever before seen a toothbrush unless I’ve been exploring an ordinary home. This made me wonder, if somebody actually lived here.

I am still not convinced that the kids have enjoyed themselves in these surroundings.

I think I can say for certain now, that somebody has indeed been living here. The amount of used toilet paper rolls can be explained in no other way.

That would also explain this. Somebodys underwear is drying, although they haven’t done a very good job washing it. I didn’t try it to see how wet it still was. I wanted to explore this location as quickly as possible in case someone would come back.

The roof plates have fallen down and the entire wooden roof is damp. I don’t predict a long life for this building anymore.

The colorful blinds are again one quite surprising find. I can’t recall seeing such before.

A loft! Finally something, which little me would have enjoyed. Even my kindergarten had one, and that was one of my favorite places.

Sadly the stairs to the lofts had been removed.

It’s not uncommon to find sheet music in kindergartens. The music choise is a bit strange. I’ve identified this as Pyynikki-valssi, a song from 1960. It’s not a childrend’s song, but rather a love story. You can listen to it here.

Very badly written death threats in black paint. For some reason this reminds me of the Cursed School, the only location I’ve ever quit before finishing my exploration, as I was too afraid to go on.

But here I will definitely go on unless the owner of the dirty underwear finds me.
